I have recently been having really vivid dreams, dreams that are leading me to do good works in life. I have also been feeling God calling me to do good things. I feel his desire for me to share my faith and love for Him with people who believe as I do and with people who might be curious about Him. But I didn’t know how or what path he was taking me down.

So to figure out what path God wants me to go I turned to my pastor, whom I think is a very intelligent and very enlightened man. I explained to him how I have been feeling and what I have been getting excited about lately. One such thing is the Bible; I have been really excited about bible podcasts. There are people reading the bible and doing a little bit of study from the scriptures in the bible and putting it in a podcast.

I told Pastor John that and how I was enjoying them, and my desire to share my faith with people and right away he started coming up with ideas to help me on the path that God has set for me. We continued to talk about this and basically he said that putting out a podcast was a really fantastic idea and that he would like me to do this.

Only one thing, he wants to do it as a video series, which I’m not all that thrilled about, I was thinking only audio that way no one had to see me… ;-) But he said no that they would see me and see that I am a younger guy and that might help other younger people who might not necessarily come to church for whatever reason, but would get the idea that God does love them through the podcast. Of course this would be a community effort and it wouldn’t be just me doing this, we talked about having guests like pastors when they visit my church. Maybe they might like to help out and take part in this discussion also.

I am so excited about this, but I don’t plan to start on it until after the new year. Until then I plan on reading a lot of the bible. Try to figure out where the lesson plan would start and what I want to speak on, I need to buy a study bible so that will help me with my lesson plan and I need to get a hold of a copy of the lectionary for the new year that might help me pick out a few subjects to research and learn on. Then I have to put something together in writing for Pastor John so he knows how to help me on the path as well.
