Moving?
I have been thinking lately about moving out of this state. I really have nothing holding me here. Certain people I associate with may or may not be moving to other parts of the world, which would leave me friendless anyway, so why shouldn’t I think about it?
I have been thinking about Georgia, Atlanta to be precise. I like Atlanta, it’s a real city, not like the fake one in which I live.
The only problem is I love it here. I hate Florida politics I hate the city politics of Orlando I hate businesses here in Orlando, but I love the city itself. Where else can you go to the beach and the theme parks in one day?
Atlanta has a theme park and one of my favorite restaurants, plus Atlanta is the home of Coca-Cola, a big plus for me. They have a good transportation system and a fun gay nightlife. Plus there are cool little bookshops and places to go for brunch…etc… Not to mention that the Adult Swim guys are located in Atlanta and they are just cool.
Id hate to leave my family tho, I love being close to my parents, but I also know that its time for me to move on in my life.
Georgia has state taxes, and they are high.
Is this sounding like a pro and con list?

I think moving is healthy. And Atlanta is really not that far away. It’s a good trip, but you could make it a point to visit quite frequently.
Atlanta has a lot of history and interesting stuff to offer. When are you thinking of moving?

Well I would probably have to wait until my lease is up in April. I however am already looking for jobs in ATL. if i found something that i would like, say with coca-cola, id be gone as quick as i could.
I also havnt quite given up on Orlando yet either. its true i hate alot of shit about this town, but maybe there is a company that i can work for that wont be so bad…

If it’s a job you are looking for, you can find them here. Breaking your lease can cost a pretty penny. But Atl is an actual city. Lots of stuff to do….
You SHOULD move there. That way I’d have a reason to visit!! hehehe!

True, I can find a job here. I had a great job with at&t wireless, then cingular came in & fucked it up for me.
Thats kinda why i hope that i can get on with OUC, or some other company.

I don’t mind regular visits… actually I was hoping to make a visit to Orlando a regular ritual, just a matter of getting the gears into thier grind.
As for Atlanta, its a competative market up there. One reason why I retreated back. But thats one part of the adventure, you can always go back. Aside from that the grass is always greener….
Oh btw I’m wanting to restart the Anywhere but Nowhere Club ; )

The Anywhere but No Where Club, once a month (or season depending on how epic a trip is) Someone calls for an anywhere but nowhere trip. They are the only one who truly knows where the group is going. Back in the day for example I would Call a trip and tell everyone that it was a $40 minimum. Day of the trip we would all pile into my car and go… to universal… disney.. cassadega.. whereever… just as long as we didn’t go nowhere…Course now these days the trips can be done on a grander scale with more planning.. like 6 flags and atlanta.. canada.. or Ft Lauderdale…
